The first draft is live!

The commenting period for the first draft will be 45 days, starting on January 12th, 2026. It is important to remember that the Growth Policy should reflect the entirety of the Great Falls community – the draft demonstrates the months long public engagement phase and thousands of community comments received. For a refresher on the public input, please visit our public engagement summary and appendix that outlines all the comment cards, survey results, and workshop input that was received. 

After the 45-day comment period concludes on February 28, City staff and the Growth Policy Steering Committee will review and consider all public comments, questions, and recommendations. The draft will be updated, revised, and then brought through the public hearing process starting at the City’s Planning Advisory Board and ending with our City Commission.
